Can you have an animated model (with bones) as a fluid physics obstacle?

I have a test scene where I’m trying to have a guy fall into water, the model is animated with keyframes, and set as a fluid>obstacle, but the water doesnt react properly (a delayed and out of place splash happens. Additionally, when baking in wireframe mode i see this:

The fluid object thinks the model is a lot bigger and out of position (already inside and at the bottom of it). Additionally this “ghost” object does not animate, except to rotate the “ghost” object.

Apply any scale for all objects
Try enabling the ‘Export Animated Mesh’ option in the obstacle settings
