Satellite Ideas!

Hi everyone,
I have something rather interesting to ask you guys. Myself, and a group of friends are planing on building a satellite using CubeSat. It’s only going to be small (10cmx10cmx10cm) and we plan to use a Raspberry Pi and probably a few other small gadgets. However, we are struggling to figure out what to do with it, other that pictures of course. So, does anyone have any REASONABLE and PHYSICALLY SMALL ideas that we could use for our project?
Thanks, Matthew

You could do a lot of cool things with a satellite.

  1. You could analyze relativistic data.
  2. You could try to come up with a cost effective manner to mitigate space junk in the orbits.
  3. You could use a sensor on the camera that senses a greater spectrum for a wide variety of applications.
  4. You could debunk fresh from the colon alien “theories”.
  5. You could do time lapse galleries for different applications.
  6. You could record weather patterns.
  7. You could invent and test shielding.

Useful or just fun, you could do a lot of interesting things with a satellite.

Thanks for the quick reply, some great ideas there! Thanks!
