Fonts useable as mesh in Blender

Hi!
I have an issue that bothers me constantly when I use fonts in blender: I can’t offset any text besides the default blender font. As soon as I offset it the text/vertices gets distorted. They have to be deleted and manipulated after converting it to a mesh. Got anyone a workaround or a font that is suited for offsetting in blender?

So far in my work flow I have done all the manipulation of the text before I convert it to a mesh.

The only changes I’ve made after conversion is to move the entire mesh object or to set different materials.

I’m not really sure what you are meaning by offset so…

Sorry I wish I could be more help.

I made a video to point out more clearly what I am talking about. Although I am quite sure that the answer will be that the usability of offset is defined by the structure of the font used I have a little hope, that there is some workaround I don’t know or think of
