bake and animate???

what might the difference between bake and animate be during fluid simulations???
even if you don’t really hit the bake button and press [CTRL+F12] you get the same results as if you don’t press bake right???

i havent worked with simulations a lot, so im not 100% sure. but i think baking is ment to speed up the simulation. like, if you want to animate it, or view the fluid in real time.

baking basically saves a “hidden” keyframe for every frame of the simulation, so ur computer wont have to calculate the simulation for every frame.

again i MIGHT be wrong, but i think that is quite correct.
anyone who knows more about simulations, pleace correct me if im wrong
