Problem with new pc and blender

Hello people.
Im sorry in advance for my rough english.

I’ve just build up a pc to work with animation using blender.
I installed all the drivers in windows 7 64bits, and into another
partition installed linux mint. now, when i install blender 2.71 -
or 2.73 it just wont open in any OS. And i have no idea why,
its the first time that it happens to me.

For Linux Mint, which version / desktop are you using (eg 17.1 Cinnamon)?

Suggest checking graphics card, driver for GLX renderer in Linux Mint although this is unlikely the issue if Cinnamon is up and running:

Post results of terminal command “inxi -G -XXX”

Also, in Mint did you install latest version from blender.org website or use the built-in software manager?

Cheers

Hi RCAFBrat, im using 17.1 cinnamon yes. i tried versions like 15 - 16 and happens the samething.
its on ¨Running in software rendering mode¨ and doesnt let me connect to enthernet or wifi.
In Windows it just doesnt let me open blender 2.74, it workd with 2.70 but not using gpu.
So i dont really know whats happening here.
