Best motion capture technique/software right now?

What is the best way to track a person’s movements in/for Blender at the moment?

I’ve considered ni-mate, but it doesn’t seem to be updated anymore.

Then there is IPI, which has a more detailed armature but requires 2 kinects in order to capture rotations. Plus, it’s $345 per year, and I’m not a fan of renting software. It also seems a bit complicated and not particularly well documented. And I would really, really prefer something that came with a nice manual.

What’s your favorite method?

EDIT: Brekel Pro Body 2 seems interesting, too. Does anybody know if works well with Blender? The last Blender update on Brekel’s page was in 2012.
