Blender on Ubuntu Unity

Ok… So I’ve spent LITERALLY 9 hours trying to get Blender to let me use my GPU (Nvidia 660 Ti). I admit that I am completely brand new to Linux. I REALLY like it with the exception of being able to figure out how to get Cuda to show up.

I have searched and searched and tried every ‘help’ walk through I can find. Can someone PLEASE help me get this fleshed out? I would be highly grateful.

I managed to figure out how to get Blender 2.73a working… although it probably isn’t in the right directory. Appreciate any help I can get.
