Deforming male armor to fit the female bust, any tips?



Hey there

So i’m working thru a pretty massive project for a playerstudio project for former Sony online entertainment (now daybreak games).

Anyhow im doing armors for 15 pieces of armor, “unfortunately” it means I need to deal with both genders. Now mostly its just about resizing/slightly altering the pieces to fit the female form. Except the chest, it’s killing me and the prospect of redoing the chest for 15 pieces makes me sad.

Does anyone have experience in this kinda thing and any tips on how one can optimize the workflow. Any modifier that can be recomended and does a good job (skinwrap just flattens eeeverything )

Or do I need to bite the bullet and do it the good ol’ manual way?

Lattice? But this probably would be like the “old manual way”…

yeah, and atleast when I try to use lattice I get the feeling that the manual way is more effective/give me more control. Had real hopes for skinwrap but it just destroys the mesh and flattens it.

you can get more control with the mesh deform modifier.
