Looking for swamp like fog

I have tried physics simulation for smoke. I’m using Blender Internal. Most of you know, the simulation is very sensitive.

I have trouble making thin but contrasting white smoke (it all turns out too dark, too thick or too thin). I would like to do something similar to low clouds across a bridge.

Has anyone here had success with this in the past? Can you recommend how I should configure my domain and objects.

Basically I have a bridge type scene and I want the fog to come up over the water and partially encapsulate the bridge.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Select the smoke emmiting object and Turn on initial velocity and set density to 0.5 or lower and if you want it to be slow, select the smoke domain and lower the time scale.

You may want to check out Andrew Price’s tutorial on a loudscape, he doesn’t use smoke…

try using a volumetric object with a gradient to control the density.
