lighting with game engine

I have been working with cycles render and decided an attempt at the game engine. I followed a simple tutorial on creating a maze game and it looks great until I play. When i press play the colors go bright and saturate. I notice that the color on the original tutorial does the same thing. The result is the same no matter how I set up the lighting, as soon as I hit play the colors saturate. It even saturates without any lighting on the scene. Any suggestions or a tutorial would be appreciated.

Do you have the viewport set to Texture Mode?



If you start the game with Solid Mode, every object will be shadeless.
