Fog Crawl Test

Hey everybody,
Here’s a small test attempting to simulate fog/smoke crawling along the floor.
Let me know what you think

That’s pretty cool.

Animate the lighting a bit and separate the tall mist from the flowing level stuff for different shots and it will be quite scary!

How did you make it?
Is it out-of-the-box blender smoke?

Its not quite the creeping fog I was after.
I just tweaked the domain settings to make sure the smoke doesn’t doesn’t rise too much.
Then with the shader I just mixed a volume scatter with an emitter shader to get those white areas to pop.

I think this is really neat, just one critique is to move the emitter back as you can see it at the beginning of the clip (or set it so the emitter doesn’t render, either way!) Well done!
