[NPR]Random Anime Guy

Hi Blender Artists,
I’m currently working on character for animation in Cycles.So Far I have modeled the base character mesh, some basic Clothing,and set up the Toon Shader for the Character.

The things I want to Learn from this character is

  1. to better understand how cycles to can be used for NPR
  2. Understanding Color Grading and Balance better
  3. To test if it’s possible to use particle hair for NPR in cycles
  4. An to improve my skill as Artist
  5. get some experience with animation and understand how to get started with a workflow for it and cycles.

How you can help.
I need feedback on anything and everything please go into detail on what you like and dislike about the character.

made alot of changes

The changes I made
Color balancing
remodeling the pants and the shirt and adding a vest
added eyes set up to be easy to animate to set up
Modeled the hair in less that 10 minutes.

hm… I think the eyes should be a little closer to each other and the angel seams not to be quite right - but maybe it’s because I am not really used to 3D-anime-chracters and that’s the style

The rule for anime eyes is to have about 1 eye length between the eyes on the model its less than that but the camera I have set to focal length of 70 which flattens view and shows more of the facial features.The eyes are dead on to what I want them to be right now.

I agree with angle the though I will have to adjust that. The eyes are not normal eyes not a sphere they are this.



They are still a work in progress alot issues I have to solve with them.
