Grease pencil option in cell fracture addon not working

Hi

I’ve been trying to fracture objects with the cell fracture addon AND the grease pencil option and it does not respond as expected, what i have instead is a “use own verts” result and not the detailed fracture that grease pencil used to guive as a result. I remember using it in the past without problems but dont remember Blender version. Right now i am using Blender 2.73a. Maybe i am doing something wrong. Any ideas?

When you draw the grease pencil strokes ensure you add them to the object you want to fracture and not to the scene
