Can somebody help me unfreeze this .blend file?

I’ve recently set my smoke domain to a resolution of 96, and I’ve also set the resolution divisions to 10.
The .blend file is now frozen on my mac every time I try to open it. It somehow saved the .blend/baking of the smoke that crashed blender and now I can’t undo it.

Nevermind, all I had to do was rename my file.

Can a moderator delete this thread?

you shouldn’t delete it because your solution is useful to know, for others having similar issues.
