BGE variants?

Considering that Blender is open source, it has numerous variations or modded versions that populated the web. So I was wondering if any of you guys know of one that is primarily used to optimize the BGE?

What?! Where? From what i’ve seen on sites such as graphicall.com forks / branches of blender meant specifically for the BGE arent very common, and they are usually for very simple things (the only one that is fully up to date at the moment is an autostereoscopy build). There was the BGE Candy branch that some fantastic new features and did some work on optimization but it hasn’t been updated since 2.61 http://www.graphicall.org/32bit/non-optimized?keywords=candy . Martins Upitis (who was one of the original devs for the branch) recently returned to the Blender community and said once he gets some other projects finished he will be continuing his work on the Candy branch. :slight_smile:
