Some old airplane tutorials of mine

Here’s something I made a good while back, stumbled across it again so figured I’d share. Not current nor cutting edge, nor are they the prettiest presentation, so I don’t consider them worthy of putting in the CG section. And the software is Wings3D rather than Blender. (However much of the same methods apply, with exception of a few steps.) Figured it’d be fun to share, since it does show a neat way of box modeling in regards to aircraft that’s easy and fast.

I still use these methods btw, so there ya go. Fun part is figuring out how to do some of the same things in Blender. I’ve managed somehow, so it can be done.

Still if somebody thinks it’s worth moving over to another forum section because “not off-topic enough”, I’m not going to complain. :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice tutorials - are you currently making a new model?

Right now I’m doing a WIP on a made-up single seat jet trainer, but not covering every single step like the tutorial. Most modeling went pretty fast until I got to dinking around with the landing gear. (Making them fit along with plausible suspension, retracts, and locking mechanism stuff is tricky.) I may do more on it on the weekends when I can get in the right frame of mind.
