Camera Tracking settings for Samsung Galaxy S5

Does anyone know the camera settings (sensor size etc) for a Samsung S5 mobile phone? I’m not finding the specifications sites at all helpful and I’m getting really bad results if I use Blender’s pre-made settings for the Galaxy S4.

You could use the Blam plugin to estimate your camera’s focal length. Shoot a second of video of something that has rectangular features (like a large table or tile floor). Use a frame from that in the Blam addon.
Just assume your camera is 35mm format (even though it isn’t) and use whatever 35mm-equivelent focal length that Blam estimates. It should work even though your camera’s sensor and FL are much smaller. What matters is the relationship between the two.

Specs for the S5 show a 35mm equivalent focal length of 31mm… so set width to 36 and focal length to 31. then refine k1, k2, focal length.

I just got access to a S5 and a Note4 and will put them through my calibration tests soon to see how accurate the specs are…
