Whats better and faster for Cycles GPU Rendering?

1x Titan or 2x GTX 980?

I don’t know what I should buy.

Faster is one thing but you should remember that you’ll end up with 2GB extra useable memory if you go with the Titan. But the 2x 980 you’ll have faster base clocks and 4096 CUDA cores (instead of 2688) with the 2x 980.

Personally I’ve decided to hang fire on an upgrade as I think it won’t be long before we see the 8Gb GDDR 9xx cards soon(ish). That could have an impact on the 4GB card prices.

I have a GTX580 Classified at the moment and looking back on that purchase the price/performance difference between the x80 and x70 cards makes even a 3 way SLI with the x70 cards a viable option and coming in under budget for 2 x80 cards.

Ok, the best way is Asus GTX Titan Z.
V Ram 12 GB and 5760 Cuda Cores.
The price is in German 1.699 $ and 2x GTX 980 cost 1.178 $.
I think that the extra costs are worth.
