I’ve been recently commissioned for a job (my first one) and wanted to ask a question. I hope this is the right thread.
An acquaintance of mine owns a company and recently had an idea he wants to pitch to UPS/FedEX/etc that will theoretically increase efficiency of operation significantly. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the project, I won’t be able to divulge on any of the specifics.
The question I had was pay. Being my first commission, I don’t know what to tell him. Based on my own personal projects, I told him it would take approximately 6 months to complete. Should I charge him a flat rate? There will be modeling, mechanical rigging, lighting…all the basics.
Thoughts?
