i think this is even going to exceed Vray

I thought I heard before that the actual GI is still baked onto the scene and isn’t really dynamic, surpassing Vray would mean needing not only dynamic GI, but dynamic caustic effects as well.

I don’t think Chaos Group has anything to worry about until you can start throwing chairs, turning on lights, and closing windows in that apartment and have the GI fully recalculate.

My thoughts exactly. Not to mention scene like that takes more work.

still, you cannot do this kind of real time viz in vray. At least, not without working much more. And not with the same result. I agree that so far the two segments do not collide. This is for something that you cannot achieve with vray (or any other not realtime rendering engine, for that matters)
