Linux - Blender - Non-Wacom Tablets - test needed

Hi,

I needed to use my tablet under Blender last day, and discovered it has no more pressure (more exactly, each stroke uses the pressure it had at its start, with no variations at all). Checked with a Genius 540 and another name-less tablet, same results.

I strongly suspect some issue with quite new Xlib versions, since one year ago that worked perfectly OK, and that code did not changed since then. Also, with Krita or Gimp tablet works OK.

So I’d need two kind of tests:

  • Testing whether name-less tablet works with Blenber 2.73 on a non-cutting-edge distro (like Ubuntu 14.04, or current Debian stable e.g.);
  • Testing whether name-less tablet works with Blender 2.73 on recent distro (I’m using Debian testing, here).

Thanks in advance! :slight_smile:

PS: for those interested by tech details gathered so far, here is the related report: https://developer.blender.org/T43367

Hi mont29, with Huion T261+ or the H610 Pro it works on fedora, no problems with the latest gooseberry build from git.

Thanks Samir, think there is something specific to my system then… Have to spend more time on it, ugh.

Fixed! Pfew… Crappy evdev/xorg! :stuck_out_tongue:
