Will the Perception Neuron make tracking software obsolete?

I was thinking that you could attach a few of the neurons to a camera rig and record the camera’s movements with it. I wonder how much more accurate it would be, if at all. You might still need tracking software to place the camera within the scene. It should be interesting to experiment with.

Data from mocap has to be cleaned after capturing, I don’t thing so you would be ever able to use it for precise tracking camera motion. I mean like combine life footage with 3D. Just for camera rig it’s already quite easy to use mobile for that purpose. I think Neurons use the same hardware used by any mobile device in these days - gyro, magneto and accelerometer. I tried to experiment just with gyro, that seems to me quite good https://vimeo.com/131695679 , but I needed to clean a bit after that, so I think it never will fits such precisely as tracked video sequence.
PN use a lot of algorhytms to clean raw data, specially for feets to contact floor, otherwise legs are sliding as hell, even now you can see how lower leg bones are dancing.
