Slanted Screw Object

Hi,

I want to create a spring at say 30 degrees from vertical, that I can compress. The screw modifier only seems to take X Y or Z values. Can I define a new “user” axis to use with the modifier, and if so, how? When I rotate a spring made with this modifier, along with its empty controlling the height of the spring, it goes out of shape. I am using a bone to scale the relative height of the spring by the way.

A quick heads up on how to define a new axis that this modifier can use would be gratefully appreciated.

You could model along the Z axis, parent to an empty and rotate the empty 30 degrees.

I parented all meshes, and armature to an empty and rotated it. Simples!
