Introduction to character modeling

For character modeling should i worry too much about the geometry/topology? I’ve learning on CGCookie on character modeling, and i’ve tried doing this a few times already but like half way though,my topology get’s all funky, should i kinda ignore it?

Topology will change the overall look of a character.You shouldn’t run into problems with proper edge flow and all quad geometry.

Yes, you should worry about topology. but don’t get too caught up in it at first. It can easily be reworked later. sometimes far easier than figuring out how to do it correctly while still trying to get the overall silhouette of the model correct.
