Blender Crashes when Rendering Fire

I’m brand new to Blender, but I just built a basic polygon character with two rockets on each foot. Each rocket has “quick fire” added to it and pulses when I have the frames play.

But everytime I try and render/animate the sequence Blender crashes.

I have an EVGA gtx 770 4gb graphics card, i-7 4790k processor, and 16gb ram. I feel like this shouldn’t be happening…

I HAVE made sure that the Cycles rendering engine is utilizing the graphics card.

Any ideas as to why this is still crashing? Is the fire truly too hot to handle for my computer?
