Higher frequency ram

Currently I have 1333mhz frequency . Want to buy a higher frequency like 1600, 1866 etc. Higher frequency ram will increase the performance of my machine for using blender ? If yes means suggest me a one
Thanks in advance

Here’s some numbers to help your decision:

In general, and especially for CG work, more RAM > faster RAM. Only think about going faster if you’ve maxed out the RAM capacity of your system and still have budget to spare.

Also, depending on your CPU, it may not support faster RAM anyway.

Thanks mate

and motherboard. if the motherboard buss speed ix maxed its not going to matter how much faster them memory is. it will be a bottleneck and like a ferrari in a traffic jam, it has the potential to out run all the other cars but reality is its going to crawl along with them unless it wants to crash.

http://www.tomshardware.com/t/memory/ if you click on the “follow” button i believe they’ll help walk you thru getting the most out of the memory. they’ll help you select eh best for your motherboard, gpu, cpu, and software application. they’ll help you tweek settings to get the most out of it. they might even be able to help you get more out of your current memory than you would with just buying new ram modules and running them unoptamized.

also consider the price/performance aspect. Generally at higher speeds, you spend more for just small incremental increases in performance. the performance increase you get going from 1866 to higher speeds doesn’t really justify the higher cost. (though this is for ddr3, not so sure about ddr4 cause they’ve got higher frequencies)
