CPU vs GPU inconsistencies in render - textures look slightly different

Hi,

So I tried to render a scene using both CPU and GPU on the same computer, so I could get twice the render power, and it works great, except the pictures rendered on the CPU looks slightly different than then once rendered on a GPU.

I did find another thread that talked about this but I wanted to know if it has been explained, or if there is a solution on the way, would be amazing to be able to render twice as much.

It would probably be to little difference to notice in-between shots, but it’s very visible when it happens between frames.

Also is this a general problem with GPU vs CPU rendering or is it a cycles problem only?

Hello, can you share the exact same scene to test here? I’m curious
