cycles render displacement problem

Hi all,

In my viewport I can see the displacement of the material, but it doesn’t render. What am I doing wrong?

Settings as in the image, the displacement method now on “true” but neither bump nor true seems to work.


You’re using a highly experimental feature that’s in fact so far from being usable, that it is more or less hidden behind some obscure settings…:smiley:

The only reliable method of displacement in Blender is still the Displacement modifier.

Other than that please post the file for us to review.

Indeed, don’t use the Displacement socket at all. I wish they would just remove it until it’s finished…

Render time displacements will not be finished until OpenSubdiv 3.0 is released.
