Shader nodes with game engine- where to start

Hi all!

I am looking to learn node materials in relation to the game engine but I haven’t a clue where to start. I’ve come across lots of great looking node setups but what works with the game engine? Is it possible to adapt setups to realtime?

Every node usable in the BGE are the ones designed for use with BI, not Cycles.

Essentially, the core of it is the material node. You can mix materials together or you can get the impression of custom design using the extended material node with a dummy material (which is then connected to the output).

I think that only the procedural textures are not available in the BGE.
