"Practice"

Hey forum,

This time my work is not exclusively done with Blender.
I’ve still used it lot though.

This render is based on the artwork of krysdecker on deviantart called Practice.

Character modeling was done using Makehuman, Blender and Zbrush.
Character rendering was done in Maya with Vray.

The hair was done in Blender, then exported to Maya using fahr 's script.
Really great tool.

The background was done entirely in Blender and was rendered using Cycles.

I’ve also used Marvelous Designer for some minor cloth simulations.

Compositing was done with Fusion 7.5.
I’ve also done some minor fixes in Photoshop.

Some wires and a clay render will follow soon as well.

Please let me know what you think about it?

Cheers.

Looks nice  I wonder why didn’t you add DOF though, but still, very good piece of work.

Thank you! I added DOF but it is very subtle. I’ve learned that on large scale scenes DOF is to be used subtly, not to diminish the scale of the scene. Still maybe I could have added a bit more. Thanks for the feedback

Character clay and wireframe renders.

No wires for the body, because it uses the original Makehuman topology, just subdivided.
I didn’t have retopo it for this work.

great job
nice work…nice character

Thank you

The cool girl in the cool work.

Sweet character, I like it.

That’s a Makehuman character? I need to work on my Makehuman skills.

Thank you guys!

Awsome work!!
The characters pose is spot on and really sells that sexy worrior look and not to mention the amazing scenery behind her.
My only crit would be to tone down that glossy shine from her skin, her right leg (viewers left) looks far to shiney giving a plastic look but the rest of the skin looks nice.
brilliant work, Keep up the good practice.

I’ve only made a base mesh in MH. I had the general shape of the body from it. I’ve sculpted on it and shaped it in Zbrush afterwards, both before and after posing to make the model look like this.

Thank you! Yes I will look into that. It really does look too shiny.
