Getting Materials from Blender to Element 3D

Hi there,

I am using Blender to create a Spaceship, with a couple of different texture shaders on one Mesh, separated with
a black and white texture in the factor of an mix shader.
My Question is now: is there any posible way of getting this material into Element, without separating the Mesh?

Your UV Map and material assignment (ie - what material name is assigned to what faces) will be carried over in your .obj export. The materials themselves will have to be recreated in E3D.

If you have layered/node tree materials in cycles the best way is probably to set the relevant texture channel assignment in E3D to a “Custom Layer” and use that AE Comp to import the textures to do the layering/masking.

If you are using procedural textures in cycles you will have to bake them to texture files (or try to recreate an equivalent procedural in AE.)
