bone snaps back to original locaton

When I move a hand with Ik and pose it on a specific location, then when I move to another location it snaps back to the original place the hand started…Help! Hope I am in the right place to ask this question.

it may be you havent set a keyframe for it?

My bad, I had put rotation constraints on the hand, when I took it off the rotation stayed where it was last put…thanks.
