for the line in the solid, i use a basic object with modifier curve
(you can use bevel but in my case it worked poorly ) i creat a bevel in my object directly
and modifier bolean for pit my model
(desactivate solid and select wire object in objet panel for the transparency.
I do not know if it is clear?
