Here is my non-competing entry:

Lethe, the River of Forgetfulness

Inspired by the famous river of Greek Mythology (more info at this link).

Lurking

RobertT: it’s possible to have a hint on how you achieved those fantastic effects on your image?

Waste (down by the river)

100% Blender. This time i tried painting in the image editor then color correction and little effects with the compositor, trying to repair all the awfulness i did
I’m wondering: how much time someone good at digital painting usually spend doing a scene like mine (with a better quality, of course)?

mik1190: The end result relies heavily on layered meshes with varying degrees of alpha as in [this wireframe view](http://www.artofinterpretation.com/images3/wc595-LetheWireframe-byrjt2014.jpg).

Rendered in Cycles, some post-processing was done in Gimp.

Woody Woodpecker

Looking good guys. Robert T is one the few artists who, after seeing their wires, you are more confused. That entry has a style I would normally associate with wet on wet oil painting on canvas. Inspiring for sure, I am always trying to think how I can use his outside-the-lines approach in my work.

“Morning Paddle” Non Competing

heres my entry
“flight fight by the river”

100 samples
all blender
one rust texture that i ran through a color mixrgb node and set to divide and a hue sat node to give it the blue color then i ran an rgb node into the other input of the mixrgb to give it another shade of blue
and as you can tell i used the Gatling gun off of my avatar

Sidewalk by the River

Spent about 30% of my time on learning to simulate the water, 10% on the grass, 5% on the sidewalk. The other 55%, was spent playing warlords. My mage is now at level 96. Back to the grind I go.

fchar you need 10 posts else an mod has to approve it, please dont spam posts and read messages

Didn’t have a chance to put in all the detail that I wanted, but here is my entry:
I call it ‘Living in a van’

For those that are not familiar, here is a brief explanatory clip:

@Soonysee, Yes! Matt Foley. I was hoping someone would get that. “You’ll be doing plenty of doobie smoking when you’re…”

@Spanishrose, Very nice render!

Sonnysee, I was trying to do something along those lines as well, but I ran out of time. I will get back into the swing of things eventually.

Photox Thank You
