Rigging rear wheel steering bike

hi you all,
I want to model the behaviour of the bike found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ijzld_X0eg
You can see the bike pivot point at 7:25
I want to model this model to find which pivot angle is the best.
I started the rig, but I know that what I have done is not right.
Do you have any rigging exemple with actuator ?

hi.

‘I want to model this model to find which pivot angle is the best.’
I dont understand, best pivot angle for turning a corner?

I see when the rear wheel pivots, the bike wheel is not aligned to the floor.
I presume you want the rig set, so both wheels stay in the same position, where the wheels makes contact with the floor, and the bike frames should pivot from the contact points.
It would probably be best to rig the pivot/turning with an action constraint, this would save allot of rigging.

Action constraint.

Ok thanks. I’ll give it a try

Hi.
Thanks. I’ll try that

Wow that is a really cool bike!

Okay so part of the problem is that the bike has to lean over when ever it takes a corner … at the same time the rear pivot needs to follow in portional way to that lean…

maybe something like this…

RearSteer_002.blend (971 KB)

just something to start out with… may not work but…

Hi,
I’ll look at your rig. It may do the trick
Thanks

Hi
Thanks a lot.

I’ll give it a try and learn all the tricks you used with bones.
