Suddenly my pc shut down realy slow.

Hi Guys,

Sins 1 or 2 november my pc shutdown takes ages… (last time 5 min.)
Wile normaly before it only toke 5 sec. to shutdown,
I am very clean with my pc and ive no intrest in random programs,
Near blender 3D i use gimp and sometimes i play a legit buyed game,

What ive done :

Ive started windows 7 in save mode and restart it again and it only toke the usual 5 sec,
I think it should be a backgorund program cousing it?

Ive been looking last 7 days on the internet to solve this problem but i cant get it clear,
got a lot of stuf about adds buying programs and fixes thats not for my windows 7…

I hope one of you can help me,

Might be a good idea to use a virus scan program just in case. However, if your PC is quite old, then you may consider upgrading. This kind of stuff ought not happen. Back in the days I also had a PC that did the same - problem never resolved AFAIK. So I moved on.

A virus/malware scan should be one of the first things you should do, especially if this was a sudden event and not the result of a slow degradation.

Over heating can look like that,

how is your heat sink?

laptop? how is the battery?

Did you check for updates?

If something failed to install your system might be trying to install it every day since.

A similar thing happened to me smart phone. Sometimes I’d charge her up and then a few hours the battery drained. Found out that all the photos we tooks was uploading to the innernet all by herself without me knowing. So managed to solve that one matey.

I was just typing a whole story on here to awser everyone,
than i click on my computer and after 15 sec my whole windows get stuck -_-

My pc is just about 2 years old and has a good coolermaster system,
Ive been looking for overheating with HWMonitor but ive none,

Ive been updating Nvidea, but get stuck at removing 3D vision,
I try to remove Nvidea manual in configuration but nothing happens,

Ive been updating Windows but get stuck when download + instal update,

Ive try to open MSconfig but nothing happens… the start menu get stuck,
Ive try to open MSconfig as administrator after i made a shortcut on the desktop,

So am afrait this is the end… i feel sad and agry,
But you know what… in about 10 hours i can sit on this pc again with a fresh windows,

Ive only a few questons :

When start the pc what button to get to the menu to choose Save Mode… F12?
(now i only got it when shut down on the wrong way)

How do i save webbrowser favorites? i want to putt them on a usb-stick,

Also ive got windows on a SSD card and the other stuff on a normal disk,
Do you guys recomment anything befor i reinstall windows so i can start clean again?

Once again thank you guys alot for the help.

Update :

I’ve got a old pc set up so i can transfer all the files with usb,
but yeah my brother forgot the Windows account PW
so i’ve to reinstall windows 7 on there to lol hmzz…

ive only to putt the files to the other pc with a 2 gig usb.
