Camera Tracking and Reconstruction Test

A quick VFX test I through together with camera tracking and rigid bodies. Everything was done in Blender. Feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The shadow under the cupboard doesn’t look the same as under your cubes. Otherwise it’s a good sim.

Also I notice that if the cubes were real they would block the room light when they are high up. Perhaps you could add some shadows to the rough room geometry to include at the start of the scene.

Thanks for the reply! I did notice that the shadows from the cubes looked very different from the shadows in the footage…after I had already rendered it out (don’t ask how I didn’t notice this before). I also made the mistake of rendering out the final video straight from Blender instead of rendering out the different passes and compositing them together. It took something like 18 hours to render and I didn’t really want to Re-render just to fix that. Ah well, newbie mistakes. Won’t make them again though :).
