Blender Game AI Issue

Hello, I’ve been working on a game in blender in my free time for a while and I seem to have run into an issue I can’t see any solution to. I have my first person view, gun, shooting, enemy, and pathfinding all working fine along with the other things found in the level. But when I look down a little, the enemy freaks out and either speeds up to my position, or flies off the map completely, along with lagging the game. But as soon as I look back up, the frame rate is back to normal, though the enemy does not return unless I exit and enter the play mode. Does anyone have any clue what’s going on? Any help will be very much appreciated.

We need a blend file to understand this more comprehensively.

Having an enemy spawn that works when you press a button my help debugging. BTW, how detailed is the ground/player/enemy. Looking down at highly detailed ground may be causing usage spikes, but a blend would help.
