It’s been about a year now since I did my last render. Using an aspire one acer netbook, rendering was one hell of a problem. Now on a much better performing machine, I hope to do a couple more renders to gradually perfect my 3D skills.

I started learning violin a couple of months ago, so thought doing something in honor of that wonderful instrument.

1.5k samples, composed a little bit, and using the new Atmospheric Lighting (Volume Scatter) effect.

I hope you like it.

The violin is mine, obviously :stuck_out_tongue:

The violin render.

Very nice! The atmosphere is great.

Thanks. The atmospheric lighting in cycles is awesome. When it supports the sun lamp out of the box, it’ll be double awesome to use.

I think I remember a scene you did a year ago, somewhat similar, chairs on a boat?

Anyways very nice, great mood etc… Good to see you again @nkan

Chairs on a boat? I don’t think I was the one. All my renders are here though: gplus.to/blenderacademy
