Divine Warfare, an ancient/fantasy game - looking for a props designer

Hello guys,

we are a team of 10-20 people (depending on activity) who have been planning an ancient/fantasy game since April. The world will consist of various locations and we are looking for somebody, who could make them beautiful and interesting places with props. For example there will be a desert location, where you could place for example several types of rocks, tents, skeletons, a well, etc. It will be completely up to you and you will be able to compose the scene/level according to your imagination. Excluding regular foliage (or you can try SpeedTree, if you want).

In case of your interest and further questions, please contact me at [email protected]

You should be familiar with:

  • modelling of (as much as possible) low poly meshes,
  • materials and texture mapping, normal/bump maps,
  • decimation for various levels of detail.

You don’t need to be expert in rigging and animation, but it may come handy.

What we can offer:

  • Collaboration on an interesting project.
  • Experience with game development related 3D art.
  • Reference - you can, of course, expose your artworks made for the game as your own.
  • Introduction to the Unreal Engine 4 and level design - you will be able to compose the meshes in the whole ruins location according to your imagination, we believe that this freedom leads to great results.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 at all - good UE4 artists and level designers are pretty wanted.
  • Collaboration with an enthusiastic team.
  • Possibly a long term and later paid collaboration.

Quick facts about the project:

  • Status: testing workflows.
  • Unreal Engine 4 (subscription).
  • Planned platform support: Windows, Mac, Linux (and we are still thinking about Android).
  • Planned language support: English, French, German, Spanish and possibly Russian.
  • Number of team members: around 20 (including a writer, translators, all the artists, game devs and web devs).
  • 150 subscribers (although we have not released a single screenshot yet).
  • SpeedTree modeller :stuck_out_tongue: http://speedtree.com
  • Approximate time to release version 1: 9 months.
  • Collaboration tools: Redmine (issue tracking, roadmap, wiki, internal forum and asset storage), HipChat (real time team communication), Git (sharing and version control of project files).
