Using teeth with the mouth?

Hi, guys.

How do I animate the teeth with the mouth?

If I make a mesh, do I add the teeth afterwards or as part of the mesh?

Do I parent it to the rest of the mouth or are they independent?

Any help is grand!

I always place the teeth, gums and tongue into the character object. The top teeth never move so you can weight them 100% to the head. The bottom teeth move but do not deform so you can weight them 100% to the jaw bone (if you are using a bone for that). I typically use Shape Keys for all mouth animation. Either way, those teeth rules still apply. Top never move or deform and bottom never deform (just moves on a hinge).
