I know most of us would know the rules of Tetris and would think that everyone knows that, but I don’t. I come across
many Tetris-like games and have no idea how to play them
I also want to make a Tetris-like game but can’t without knowing it’s rules
Any idea what the rules of Tetris are? How can we win a Tetris game and how can we loose?
First, you can’t win a Tetris game. It just gets faster and harder until you die, like life and the arcade games of old.
Tetris has a few different shapes made out of blocks. These shapes fall from the top of the screen and you can rotate them and move them left or right to place them as you like at the bottom of the screen/top of the pile. The object is to fill an entire row without any gaps. If you do that, the row disappears, the blocks above that row(if there are any) move down, and you score.
The object is to clear as many rows as you can until the blocks reach the top of the screen, then it’s game over.
