Material in Game

Is it possible to add material in our game?
By material, I mean materials available in Blender Render and Cycles Render such as Glossy, Transparent, Emission, etc… not only Diffuse available in Blender Game

If it is possible, any idea how to do it?
It will be good if they can be changed dynamically with script too. Any idea about that?
My games look so dull and boring without some good materials :expressionless:

you can use the node editor or some of the “Martins upitis” script, any way there are various techniques to make the material as good as in the blender render/cycles.

No, these aren’t available in the Blender game engine. However, using textures and filters, you can mimic these effects.
You can make a material transparent by scrolling to the bottom, enabling transparency, and scaling down Z Transp.
I’m not totally sure how to go about most others, since my projects focus on minimalistic graphics, but I’m sure someone else here could help out with that and point you to where you need to go.
