Material and Texture Help

hi, im trying to add/make a material similar to this one in the image below, but every time i try to make it it looks really bad. Also im trying to make it for the GE?

is it possible to get this metallic look to it.Also sorry for the bad quality image.


metal is typically done with a specular map, a normals map, and a reflection map. these are grayscale textures, generally, that tell your surface where to look bright, or bumpy, etc. each map is loaded in its own texture channel, and set to influence whatever value it was intended for in the influence panel of the texture buttons. i would suggest maybe some soft noise for the bump channel, and a streaky specular map for the specular channel to give it a brushed look.
