Blender GTX 980 CUDA Problem

Ok, so I’ve just finished building my new Desktop, Intel 5930k and Dual GTX 980. After I installed Windows 8.1, I downloaded Blender 2.72, opened an old high poly project, and bam, GPU rendering with DUAL 980 or single 980, is not working. I just select GPU, hit render, program enters in rendering screen, and… nothing. It works with CPU, but the main reason I bought two 980 was for rendering…

Does anybody know a solution? I’ve already tried the “select Experimental” thing, but, no luck.

Thank you.

Hi, search for kernel_sm_50.cubin and rename it to kernel_sm_52.cubin.
It is only a workaround until Blender full suport the new Maxwell cards.
User OscarM compiled a Windows build with included nativ sm_52 kernel, this should be faster than simple rename the sm_50 kernel.
