Grass and textures testing - Wheatgrass garden I

This is my first real project meant to explore tufts of grass. But I got carried away and pushed it further than expected :slight_smile:

Would love feedback on the textures mostly, and the integration w/ the background environment image.

I think it have more saturation of color than the necessary

Hmm. What’s the node setup look like on the wood? I think it may need more roughness in diffuse and/or glossy.

Something to try with the dirt: displacement modifier or sculpt the bumps.
The grass looks great, and the blue ball. The spray bottle looks like it’s from Over the Hedge, probably because of the bright (red) colors.
the texture on the box is very interesting. Is that procedural?

It could use some more bump, but probably just a more detailed and interesting starting texture too? adding bump on top of the existing .

The dirt’s already displaced and has some particle-based stone and for extra texture, it’s just not coming out very shapely in this light.

The box’s texture is just a galvanized metal interpreted into 2 shades of red as a factor in a mix shader and some gloss on top of that w/ a fresnel
