How to build blender "brancehes"

Oké i’m asking here on advise from on another forum thread.
Just imagine, me, i guy who has VS2013 or VS2010 at work, with not that much experience in blender or git. (we use something else). What would be nice is some manual to explain to those people (not really progamers), on how to build blender. Maybe a wiki article or so, as a result people could do something with those builds like more testing etc.

I’m not a great programmer in Blender, but if there was some kind of manual on how to build those branches, then at least others could more easily participate in testing those early beta software branches.

in short a blender wiki article about it would be great, it would allow some to make that shift to development.

Have you had a look at this page here?

thanks for providing that link

Hi, I setup a Windows VM with Visual Studio 2013 express atm. will report how it goes.
The wiki is a bit outdated and some informations are on other places, build with Cuda for example.
We try to make a step by step tutorial how to get this to run.
Release builds are made with scons btw…

Cheers, mib
