Limiting Object Rotation Speed

I’m working on a spaceship and there are turrets that follow empties. Is there a way to limit the speed that the object rotates, so that i can just set the empty on the target and have the turret rotate at, say, 60 degrees per second around the objects local Z-Axis, until it is pointing to its target empty? If you want a DL file i can post one

The problem is, for the current frame you want to update properties based on the state of other properties.

The only way I know how to do this is by using python scripts.
I would usually use app.handlers.

There are some other ways todo this, maybe some addons exist.

you can set a turrent animation at the rate you want it to work… then save that animation as an “Action”… that action now can be linked to a bone or a driver… Test it out using the Action Constraint…

here’s a good Action constraint tutorial…

skip ahead to about 6:00 for the action constraint information

Hey man thanks for the tutorial link! I’ll check it out the next chance I get. If you’d like to follow the progress of this project, check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Light-Shield-Productions/137881829618339?ref=tn_tnmn

Thanks Col_Bobby but I have real problems with facebook… I’ve had to swear off of it…
