Scarecrow in Cornfield

It is now autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, so here is a Scarecrow in Cornfield under a harvest moon.

Modeled in Blender 2.71, rendered in Cycles (GPU, GTX-760).

The cornstalks, scarecrow, and bats are modeled with Blender. The moon w/ clouds is a Photoshopped picture used as an environmental map for lighting, plus a “sun” light object as the moon. The background trees are a Photoshopped picture as well.

Blender compositing, only a “Dust & Scratches” Photoshop filter for post-Blender processing.

Excellent concept! The only things bothering me are the cloth and the Cycles pixelation. maybe needed a little more light or samples, and some more post-pro to darken it? Anyways, excellent composition! 4*

Awesome! The lighting is perfect. Great job!

Thanks for the comments.
Used 576 AA samples (24 square samples). The exposure in the scene was pushed up to see the details, which brings out the pixellation. Fireflies ended up being a big headache as well. A balancing act which seems a challenge for dark scenes.
