Array object and edit mode

Hi folks,

Here’s what I’m trying to do:

I decided for a scene I’m working on to create a “tiki hut” sort of structure made up of vertical poles… probably going to be textured as bamboo.

So I created a cylinder of suitable dimensions and applied an array modifier to it. Applied the modifier and went to edit mode thinking I could use loop cuts to create windows and a door.

Ooops… boy was I wrong. I saw the original pole off to the left and the rest was a mere shadow.

Is there a way of taking an object that’s the result of an array modifier and converting it into an editable mesh?

Are you selecting the right object ? You have at least three different cylinder objects in your scene.
